If you are thinking that the makeup you do won't really matter... it will. Due to the photos being HD, high definition, all the little things you don't typically notice will be made clear for you to see.
We are so used to seeing ourselves through the front camera of our iphone and with filters that sometimes we forget what we really look like. Which is a shame because I can promise you, you have immense beauty that you are most likely unaware of.
To get the most out of your photoshoot, It is worth it to find some tutorials on YouTube for your skin type, age, and skin tone/ coloring! (I linked some below for mature skin, pale skin, and medium-dark skin!)
You want to make sure you have the right shade of foundation that matches your body (wear lots of sunscreen so that you don't have a white face and a red chest!) along with a lipstick that does not wash you out, and a good eyebrow routine that suits your face shape! Another thing to keep in mind is we will be getting naturally glowy... AKA sweating a little bit... I would opt for a matte look so that you are not too shiny!
This does not mean try out a brand-new type of makeup routine for your photos... this means take your tried-and-true routine, and perfect it! Start your routine earlier, slow down, and relax into your gorgeous self! AND YOU BETTER TELL YOURSELF YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL IN THE MIRROR TOO!
If you put on "too much" makeup the camera will pick that up too, so make sure everything is blended out and looking how you want! When I know I will be getting photos taken of me I try to practice a couple times leading up to it. It took me a very long time to find out what eyeliner looks best on my face shape, and there are plenty of pictures on the internet of me in my experimental cat-bird-unknown animal-wing-eyeliner that just... doesn't look the best. Practice makes perfect!
I want you to be fully prepared, to love your photos, love the way you look, and get the most out of your photoshoot!!!! I can photoshop acne, soften wrinkles, and enhance the vibrancy of your face, but what I cannot do is fix your eyeliner or eyebrow shape, so it is worth it to make sure you are happy with your choice of makeup. I also can't photoshop a funky sunburn so... reapply reapply reapply!!!! Especially the sunglass lines y'all!
Happy beaching!
